KUNSTHAL SUPPORTERS
The Kunsthal’s supporters programme consists of the Kunsthal Friends and the Kunsthal Circle (Major Donors) for committed individuals. Businesses committed to the arts can get involved in the activities of the Kunsthal by joining the Business Circle or becoming a Kunsthal Ambassador.
Friends and Major Donors
In 2016 the Kunsthal worked on extending its Friend base and the number of Major Donors as a source of income and as a means to boost (social) involvement with the Kunsthal. It is the ambition of the Kunsthal to engage its Friends and Major Donors for longer periods of time. Apart from free admission the Friend Programme offers additional perks such as sneak previews, in-store discounts, entrance to the Masterclass series and meet & greets. For Major Donors we have set up a special programme. This approach has proved to be successful. The donations we received from Friends and Major Donors, who have committed themselves to the Kunsthal for several years, more than doubled in 2017. There were also a number of one-off donations.
Ambassadors
The Kunsthal also has an Ambassador network with permanent sponsors who give us substantive and/or financial support. In 2017 this network consisted of ROC Albeda College, Kneppelhout & Korthals Lawyers, Sundio Group, Colart, Nationale-Nederlanden (NN) and Eliza Was Here. Of course we are also extremely grateful for their support.
KUNSTHAL BUSINESS CIRCLE
With their yearly contribution, members of the Kunsthal Business Circle support the general funding of exhibitions and in return are allowed to use the Kunsthal as a platform for relationship marketing. In 2017, many Business Circle members held events for their business relations at the Kunsthal. On 21 March, the Kunsthal organised a successful meeting for the Kunsthal Business Circle and a number of small and medium-sized Rotterdam enterprises in collaboration with VNO-NCW (the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers) Rotterdam. Guest speaker was Ernst-Jan Stigter, CEO of Microsoft the Netherlands.
